With so much inflammation in my body, I try to do everything possible to lower it. On a daily basis, I enjoy a cup of Tumeric Coffee. Don’t forget the healthy fat. Tumeric needs fat to be fully bioavailable for your body.
- 1cup(any size) fresh brewed organic coffee
- 1 tbl MCT Oil or Coconut Oil
- 1 scoop Collagen Powder
- 1 tbl coconut milk(no added junk) or Heavy Whipping Cream if you can handle dairy
- 1 tsp tumeric powder
- 1/2 tsp Ceylon cinnamon
- Pinch Cardamon
Whip everything with a hand blender for the best creaminess!
If the flavor is too strong, try using half the spices until your tastebuds adapt. Turmeric is strong and can be an acquired taste so don’t beat yourself up if it seems too strong. Simply adjust to suit your taste.
On occasion, I enjoy a cup made with decaf in the evening. Make sure your decaf coffee is made using the Swiss Water Method so it’s not loaded with chemicals.
