Gluten Free Fries at Burger King!

Gluten Free Fries at Burger King

I am super excited to announce that our local BK is Burger Kingnow carrying gluten free french fries. The switch was made about a month ago, I am told. I called to confirm that they are no longer deep fried with their onion rings and chicken sandwiches. I was told that they have 2 friers dedicated for only french fries and the other 2 are for anything but french fries. So even though we don’t eat fast food too often, it is nice to know that we can swing through Burger King and the kids can enjoy their fries without feeling sick afterwards. That goes for this fry loving momma also!

  1. Just be careful: not all BKs have separate friers. Even if they do, there’s no guarantee the workers keep them as such. Most BKS warm their fries and rings in the same metal bin with just a divider between them. Onion rings can and do get past that divider and cc the fries. 🙁

  2. Agree 100%!!! I was talking about our 2 local BK’s. After calling and confirming all of this information I was very disappointed to take a quick trip into town with my hubby. We decided to give the fries a try and bring home some goodies for the kids. The one person in our family who is confirmed CD is myself. Guess who had an onion ring in her fries. Needless to say, I will be asking for fresh fries right out of the fryer next time. When I worked at McD’s that is what we had to do for salt free fries. They basically dump them directly into the fry carton so no cross contamination. Let’s just say that day at BK was very crappy service. They messed up everything in our order and that does not usually happen. I did manage to get a burger without a bun but they only gave me a meat patty. I will try to communicate better next time I have a french fry craving.
